And the hair is...

My friend Jackie (she is a hair stylist) cutting it off...
The end result! My hair and I thank you Jac!

So, here is the end result. Jackie cut quite a bit off...you should have seen the hair on the floor. Hopefully, chemo won't take the best out of this and this will be my new hairstyle for a while!

  1. Lauren,
My name is Billy Crocker, and I'm in Birmingham, Al. I was diagnosed in Oct of 2004 with stage 2B Hodgkin's. I had a mass on my Thymus Gland just behind the Sternum. The mass was found from an x-ray taken during an ER visit. I was having irregular heartbeats, this actually had nothing to do with the cancer at all. The docs really didn't know it was cancer until after the sternotomy....lol, yes I had a "zipper job!!" After recovery, I had 6 AVDB chemo treatments and then about a month and half of radiation.
I just wanted to share my story with you, and also give you lots of encouragement!!!! You can beat this!!! I had the bone marrow biopsy as well, and your right....NO FUN! The bottom line is after all that and 5 years later I'm doing great. I have no doubt in my mind you will be too! If you have any questions at all about any of the side effects I had, don't hesitate to ask. They gave me a shot of anti-nausea drugs right before they would start the chemo everytime and it really worked for me. But remember....you can and WILL beat this.
